Storytelling reflection
1. Story-telling Reflection
My Story is called In Hell.
The Planning Phase:
I chose to write a fantasy/adventure genre because fantasy is fun and
interesting. The most interesting thing about my main character is that he
doesn’t care but in hell he tries to break free for himself and the people who
will die.I didn’t enjoy creating the setting because Ki Jung and me hated the
dark and scary place.
While making my plot diagram, I found it difficult to get ideas from the one big
piece of paper. My best idea during planning was to have a happy ending. While
planning this story I learned that life is very important.
The Drafting Phase:
It was difficult to write my story because every ones like different ideas. I am
proud of my story because it was hard to get ideas but I did it.During the
Writing Workshops, I became better at makewriting sentences that are better. If
I wrote it again, I would improve my story by including more interesting ideas
of my own.
The Digital Phase:
I am proud of my movie because the audience will enjoy our movie.
I found it easy to create the storyboard because I really knew the plot of the
story. My role was to be the script writer.I worked especially hard at typing in
the computer. The thing I am most happy with is my studying skill. While
making the movie, I learned many new technology skills in iMovie. I became
much better at writing, too.If I made the movie again, I would try to make a
happy one.
Collaboration:
Sometimes, I enjoyed group work because Ki Jung and I liked the same things.
Other times, I didn’t enjoy group work because Jake and Seok Chaedidn’t
enjoyed KI Jung’s and my ideas. While working in a group, I learned how to
work in-groups without so much arguing
What else?
During this story-telling unit I especially enjoyed movie making.
After this unit, I might continue to practice narration.
