2. “The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don’t do anything about it” —Albert Einstein
3. Our Mission To educate people that efficiencies and betterment can be gained by adding a level of government at the global level. To create groundswell to drive existing officials to form this government. To develop a lean and efficient framework for this government.
4. Disclaimer We are not advocating a change in government on the national level but simply adding another layer over it. Just as you can be a citizen of the city and state where you were raised, you would still be a citizen of your nation with the rights and privileges thereof.
5. Why? Technology has linked us together and enables us to act globally, without geographic borders. Populationdensity is increasing forcing decreases in geographic separation. Individuals still think only of their immediate surroundings. Social order is slower to respond but needs to.
6. Mitigation War, Famine, Pestilence… This is not a solution to these classic problems but it will help to defend against them and enact a better response.
7. Underlying Problems Competition Regulatory Inconsistencies Random Natural Resource Allocation Environmental Issues Redundancy Lack of Information Sharing
8. Competition Nations compete to achieve dominance – economically, socially, religiously… Put a level above them and put some of these motivators out of their control
9. Regulatory Inconsistencies Monetary regulations, fugitive export laws, environmental practices– just to name a few. One consistent set of rules would make it more difficult to exploit.
10. Random Natural Resource Allocation Countries have no control over what natural resources exist in their borders As demand for resources change
11. Environmental Issues Pollution, global warming, species extinction – again, the list goes on. One set of rules and centralized enforcement would mitigate these
12. Redundancy This is especially true in research and exploration. The simplest example is space exploration. Does every country need a competing space program? Far more could be accomplished by pooling resources.
13. Lack of Information Sharing The other side of the coin of multiple entities running in parallel. Countries often hide research to gain tactical advantage. Centralized repositories of knowledge would increase the rate of research.
