Survey questionnaire was designed to find out: how visitors rated the IDS website what tasks they do how they communicate online their role and organisation 80 respondents completed the survey

Some survey result trends: Website Feedback Homepage needs improvement Navigation needs improvement Content needs updating Want more content to be social media enabled (growing trend) Better multimedia section needed Simplicity, straight-to-the-point and clear communication preferred Downloading Papers is a lot more popular than Buying Publications Nearly 84% as Never buying publications

About the Audit Workshop Focus group of 12 key staff representing research teams and web communication experts Workshop explored: website goals identify our key audiences and their needs rank them by importance to the IDS strategy and goals Result was to create the 5 most important audience personas – a made-up character that would typify the key audience and their needs
