In 2008 it was announced that homeless from Manhattan's shelters would be transplanted into a few of Brooklyn's-the Atlantic Ave Armory in Crown Heights would carry the weight and the rest would flow over to the Sumner Ave Armory-the Pamoja House. Once again the community was dismayed by the inevitable increase of homeless in the area.
