6. SDCC Learning Circle
Background
 The existing site was a CMS with document management
plug-in.
 They wanted a more strictly controlled repository with set
meta data requirements, and simple processes
 They had specific design and user interface changes
 They wanted a streamlined submission process
 A much improved browsing experience was needed

Make adding items simpler
 Tree based category selection
 Implement a simpler submit page, encompassing all aspects
on one page
Standardise the Author names
 Implement a “Find people” interface to central user system
Standardise the Keywords
 Implement a taxonomy driven lookup which pre-checks and
suggests keywords as user types

Make adding news/event information easier
 Embed HTML editor for news areas
 Add news and events blogs to the site

 Implement a range of UI improvements to advanced search
