Wroclaw, Poland is the location of this travel document. Key points about Wroclaw include that it became a Polish city in 1945 after World War II. The document discusses visiting landmarks like Wroclaw's Old Town district on Ostrów Tumski Island, the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist that was rebuilt after wartime bombing, and the over 130 bridges across the Oder River. Museums, shops, and the University of Wroclaw which has dormitories for international students are also highlighted. The lights in the „Ostrow
Tumski‟ are the gas ones, and
there is the person who does
the lighting.
In black clothes with a long
stick. That‟s how the man turns
on the lights in the oldest part of
the city, and he gets paid for
that (I hope).
It‟s pretty interesting to watch in
real!
Not many tourists can see
that, but the man who saw this
“ritual of lighting” considered to
be lucky one. And you can also
13. ALSO MANY TOURISTS TRY TO TAKE PICTURES
WITH WROCLAW ‘UNIQUE’ DWARTS
There are plenty of them all over the city, some people told
me that it‟s more than 300 of them, but others think more than
700.
You should try and take picture with all of them!

17. UNIVERSITY’S DORMITORY
There are special dormitories for the
international students. The dormitories
have special names: „Kredka‟ and
„Olowek‟. They have 21 and 17 floors. I
live in Kredka. Everything equipped very
well inside. There are a bed, curtains, a
lamp, chairs, a cupboard. The room
divided into sections: kitchen, bathroom
and your room. Downstairs you can have
laundry and dryer, also you can ask for
the iron and vacuum cleaner for your
room.
