3.  Clearly define responsibilities: To ensure that your
team meets its deadlines on a consistent basis,
you should have a structure in place with clearly
defined roles. You will be able to hold employees
accountable for specific tasks and assess
performance in real time.
Do your research: To improve your knowledge of a
particular market and product set, you should
gather data from a wide variety of sources. Solid
data ultimately enables you to monitor product
performance and fill gaps in information and
operations.

4.  Try and build consensus: Usually as a Product
Manager, you'll be asked to work with a virtual team of
leaders from the groups of stakeholders. Try and build
consensus for prioritizing features, functions, and bug
fixes. But remember, if you can't build consensus, your
are the ultimate decision maker. You are the Product
Manager, and the final decision lies with you. Don't be
afraid or intimidated to exercise this option.
Ask for help: As a new product manager, you can’t
reasonably expect to know it all right away. Don’t be
afraid to ask colleagues for help with important issues!
