2. O Past Continuous é utilizado para
expressarmos uma ação que estava
ocorrendo no passado.
Forma Básica:
Subject + WAS/WERE + Verb (continuous form)
Sujeito Verbo com ING
Verbo “to be” no passado

3. Examples:
1- I was singing a little song.
2- They were learning English.
3- I was riding a bike yesterday.
4- You were doing your homework.
5- I was reading a book in the last week.
6- They were wearing jeans pants yesterday.

4. Declarative Sentence:
Afirmativa
Subject + Was/Were + Verb+ING
He, She, A Dog, etc.. Walking, Going, Talking...
Example:
At 3 PM, I was having lunch.

5. Questions Sentence:
Interrogativa:
Was/Were + Subject + Verb+ING
Example:
Was she going to the theater
when it started raining?

6. Negative Sentence:
Negativa:
Subject + Wasn’t/Weren’t + Verb+ING
Example:
We weren't playing football
when the earthquake began.

7. Declarative:
1- I was reading a incredible magazine.
2- They were playing chess in the club.
Question:
1-Were you painting your house yesterday at 5 PM?
2- Was Mary shopping when the mall was burning?
Negative:
1- He asked me why I wasn't having dinner at the hotel.
2- She wasn’t crying because of the movie.
