This document introduces iRadX, an organization that provides teleradiology services for international medical outreach using low-cost informatics tools. It discusses iRadX's mission and partner organizations. Key challenges for international teleradiology include limited internet access and older equipment in resource-limited areas. The document then summarizes several free and simple tools that iRadX uses to transmit images internationally, such as email, Picasa, MMS, Qik, YouSendIt, radRounds, and Intelemage. Case studies demonstrate how these tools have enabled iRadX to provide teleradiology services with minimal infrastructure requirements or costs.
