It is important to have vibrant classroom activities and have a positive demeanour when teaching, as this will encourage students to be present at school everyday and to engage in their learning activities.

As a teacher, you are able to be an agent of social change and be a leader in inspiring students to reach their full academic potential.

There is also a need to be adequately qualified, and there is more of a focus on individual assessment. An understanding of cultural and religious differences is hugely important today, due to the diverse multi cultural society we live in. Being a teacher today is seen to be a professional occupation.
