1. Description of the project and its objectives
You and other 35 young people will spend two weeks achieving a common goal:
the creation of a short movie. This experience will support your personal
development, you will get the chance to enhance your video making skills and
improve your English. In the while, you will have fun with other youths and
discover a beautiful place in Europe.
The objective is integration of young people with different cultural backgrounds.
You will gain an understanding of yourself and of each other. We want to bring a
positive message of inclusiveness, to support a society that fosters respect for
the rights and dignity of every person, regardless of ethnicity, religion or gender.
We started this project as a weapon against ethnic discrimination, which almost
two in three Europeans perceive as widespread in the EU. Xenophobic
sentiments have become increasingly present in Europe. This is what MMM aims
to contrast, and we believe it is important now to show the general public that
when different cultures come together to collaborate the result can be amazing!
2. Daily activities and timetable
During the project, you will be involved in several activities, supported by
Rossana Cingolani (see paragraph on EuGen staff involved) and 2 facilitators.
These activities will take place from 9 am to 1 pm and again from 2 pm to 6:30
pm every day, thus leaving time for a social lunch between 1 and 2 pm and for
dinner, cooking together and relaxing during the evening. The activities we have
selected for you are designed with two main purposes: help you get comfortable
with each other as well as yourself, and give you the technical skills required to
make a short documentary.
A few examples are workshops on body expressions, relaxations techniques and
exercises for mutual trust, writing a script, acting, video making and
editing. Throughout the whole project, there will be many chances for debate
