- Step One
o Create and upload a title for advertisement (25 characters only)
 Ex) Flyer Spirit Parents Weekend
- Step Two
o Create and upload body of content for the ad (135 characters only)
 This weekend only – Flyer Spirit is offering all UD parents 10% off ALL
merchandise!
- Step Three
o Pick and upload an image for the ad.
 Ex) Flyer spirit logo, picture of merchandise, UD logo, picture of
students wearing merchandise
- Step Four
o Choose your destination URL – do you want people directed to your home page,
or to a specific page?
 We believe that the URL for the home page would be more efficient
- Step Five
o Choose a social action – this content will notify users of your friends interactions
 We believe this would be a good choice so other users will see how
popular it is
- Step Six
o Choose a target market through filters
 Ex) location, age, sex, education, keywords
- Step Seven
o Choose a name for your campaign, and define your budget.
 Minimum budget is $1.00/day and can run on specified start and end
dates.
- Step Eight
o Choose if your want to pay for clicks or pay for views (CPM)
 Is it more important to pay for the amount of people who are visiting
the website, or for how many people are exposed to your ad?
• We choose CPM – we want to drive people the website!
- Step Nine
o Confirm the maximum you are willing to pay per 1000 impressions
 You must bid on how much you want to pay for each view and can see
what competitors are paying
• It would be best to big at least what the minimum bid is
- Step Ten
 Review your ad
• You can go back to change any decisions that you have made
o All content is given a quality review to make sure they
meet content guidelines of Facebook.
