Hydrosphere
Hydrosphere The movement of water around, over, and through the Earth is called the water cycle, a key process of the hydrosphere.
Hydrosphere – Oceans
Hydrosphere – Rivers and Lakes
What is the HYDROSPHERE?The hydrosphere is the liquid water component of the Earth. It includes the oceans, seas, lakes, ponds, rivers and streams. The hydrosphere covers about 70% of the surface of the Earth and is the home for many plants and animals.
The hydrosphere, like the atmosphere, is always in motion. The motion of rivers and streams can be easily seen, while the motion of the water within lakes and ponds is less obvious. Some of the motion of the oceans and seas can be easily seen while the large scale motions that move water great distances such as between the tropics and poles or between continents are more difficult to see.
water pollutionThe cycle of the Earth’s waters is continuous, carrying and spreading pollutantsintroduced by human activity all around the planet.
Water pollution Water pollution is the contamination of water bodies (e.g. lakes, rivers, oceans and groundwater). Water pollution occurs when pollutants are discharged directly or indirectly into water bodies without adequate treatment to remove harmful compounds. Water pollution affects plants and organisms living in these bodies of water; and, in almost all cases the effect is damaging not only to individual species and populations, but also to the natural biological communities.
Effects of Water PollutionWater pollution is a major global problem. It has been suggested that it is the leading worldwide cause of deaths and diseases,[1][2] and that it accounts for the deaths of more than 14,000 people daily.
Point source pollution refers to contaminants that enter a waterway from a single, identifiable source, such as a pipe or ditch. Water w/out pollution Water polluted
water pollution results when an overwhelming amount of waste coming from different sources of pollutants can no longer be accommodated by the natural ecosystem.
Main Causes of Water Pollution There are many sources of water pollution but it is not the source that is really causing the problem but the improper disposal of the pollutants. People resort to careless disposal because it is cheaper, more advantageous, or simply convenient to them.
Water pollution is a concern for the world. It is not something limited to poor nations. Many people think that only poor countries suffer from the lack of clean drinking water and pollution of water. That is far fro the truth.Everyone suffers from water pollution.
Prevention of Water Pollution make a direct impact by cleaning up the river by itself. prevention of water pollution is caught and corrected before it can become a major concern. Monitoring water pollution involves setting up laws regarding dumping and other polluting activities. It includes keeping waterways clean through maintenance and car. It also involved monitoring industrial activities to ensure there is no accidental run off into water sources.
w/out pollution we live a healthy life Healthy water for us. Healthy world for us.
Water has always been an important and life-sustaining drink to humans and is essential to the survival
