How People-Based Digital Platforms are Impacting the Beauty Industry
Eva Press joined Facebook over four years ago as a Creative Strategist on the
Creative Shop team, where she focused on helping brands develop best-in-class
marketing programs and publishing on the platform. She then moved to Global
Accounts as a Global Business Manager, providing strategic consultations to key
global advertisers such as Unilever, Nestle and ABInBev, to help them and their
agencies grow their business by understanding marketing in a digital and mobile
world. Before joining Facebook, Eva spent 10 years in Brand Management at Kraft

Guest Speaker
Greg Coleman, President of BuzzFeed
Exploring the Evolving Advertising Model
Interviewed by Anna Klein, Vice President, Public Affairs,
Global Communications, The Estée Lauder Companies
In the current world of YouTube and Vine stars, the web and technology has
empowered the girl or boy next door to play the role of cultural icon, competing
with the likes of Beyoncé, Sofia Vergara, Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson.
What does this shift in influence and consumer demand for authenticity mean for
beauty brands? Greg Coleman, President of BuzzFeed, will shed light into the
evolving digital marketing model and explore the levels at which brands engage
consumers and their influencers to create cultural impact.
Guest Speaker
Sebastian Tomich, Senior Vice President, Advertising & Innovation,
The New York Times
Agile Creativity: Leading at the Speed of Growth
New products and business models are challenging iconic brands across a
number of industries and navigating the exponential speed of digital disruption
means managing our businesses with urgency and fluidity. The battle for consumer
attention--that one finite metric--intensifies every day, so how do you prepare for an
approaching generation that doesn’t consume media in a traditional way? Sebastian
Tomich, SVP Advertising & Innovation, The New York Times and Founder of T Brand
Studio, will share tangible takeaways for navigating the business model evolution.
He will identify how brand executives, agencies and publishers can structure creative
and technical methodologies that generate better products, tell the best brand stories
and better meet the needs of their business and their customers.

Kevin Gallagher, Kevin Gallagher Consulting
The future for suppliers of specialty raw materials to the personal care industry.
The Personal and Beauty Care market is more dynamic than at any time in history,
and the pace of this change is accelerating. The ongoing revolution in consumer
behavior and retail channels, along with pressure from global regulations and
pressure from NGOs are creating a tsunami of change that have profound
implications for the global personal care supply chain. How will we survive this?
Hint: It won’t be by doing things the “old way.”

Amee Chande, Managing Director for the UK of the Alibaba Group
Global E-Commerce: What’s Happening in China?
Amee Chande, Managing Director for the UK of the Alibaba Group, will help attendees
understand how to become involved in e-commerce in China. Alibaba is China’s, and by
some measures, the world’s biggest online commerce company, and is a marketplace,
search engine, and a bank, all in one. Chande will share her insights on China’s most
popular destination for online shopping, and in the world’s fastest growing e-commerce
market. Chande joined the Alibaba Group in 2015, where she is charged with building
the UK office as the hub for the Alibaba Group in Europe and bringing the Alibaba
ecosystem to UK businesses and consumers. Prior to joining Alibaba, Chande served
as Managing Director of NutriCentre, a health and wellness subsidiary of Tesco. She
previously spent four years with Staples, most recently as Managing Director of the UK
business. Prior to that, she held a number of senior roles at Walmart, and was a strategy

Data Needs in a Dynamic Marketplace: Supply Chain Challenges
and Opportunities
The industry has seen a long term trend of increasing demands from consumers, retailers
and regulators for more information on materials used in personal care products. This in
turn places a need for more data on raw materials, addressing a wider variety of end
points, to be made available to users. This session will open with short presentations
from the panelists on the challenges from their perspective; what types of data are
needed; the responsibilities for data generations; and how to stay current with
dynamic nature of what data is required, followed by a moderator led Q&A.
