Omnicom Reports Third Quarter 2007 Results
NEW YORK, OCTOBER 23, 2007 - Omnicom Group Inc. (NYSE-OMC) today
announced that net income for the third quarter of 2007 increased 14.2% to $202.2
million from $177.1 million in the third quarter of 2006. Diluted earnings per
share in the third quarter of 2007 increased 19.2% to $0.62 per share from $0.52
per share in the third quarter of 2006.
Worldwide revenue increased 11.8% to $3,101.4 million from $2,774.3 million in
the third quarter of 2006. Domestic revenue for the third quarter of 2007 increased
7.4% to $1,654.9 million compared to $1,540.5 million in the third quarter of 2006.
International revenue increased 17.2% to $1,446.5 million compared to $1,233.8
million in the third quarter of 2006.
Net income for the nine months ended September 30, 2007 increased 12.8% to
$661.9 million from $586.8 million in the same period in 2006. Diluted earnings
per share for the nine months ended September 30, 2007 increased 18.3% to $2.00
per share in 2007 from $1.69 per share in the same period in 2006.
Worldwide revenue for the nine months ended September 30, 2007 increased
11.1% to $9,068.1 million from $8,160.7 million in the same period in 2006.
Domestic revenue for the nine months ended September 30, 2007 increased 7.8%
to $4,858.4 million from $4,508.9 million in the same period in 2006.
International revenue for the nine months ended September 30, 2007 increased
15.3% to $4,209.7 million from $3,651.8 million in the same period in 2006.
