1. WELCOME EBLIDA/NAPLE CONFERENCE<br />It is a great pleasure for me, as President of FESABID, the Spanish Federation for Archives, Libraries and Museums, to welcome you to Malaga to celebrate the 19th., Eblida Council Meeting and Annual Conference. It is besides, a great opportunity for spanish professionals to be able to meet with our european colleagues at home and share experiences, knowledge and solutions, if possible, in this global information world.<br />When the former FESABID Executive Board took the decision to invite you all to come to Malaga for your meeting, we thought that it could be a great opportunity for all of us to have the possibility to get to know our colleagues and realize that we do have common problems: advocacy, ethics, intellectual property, intellectual freedom, that could possible have more or less identical solutions.<br />This Eblida Conference Program we are going to follow from now on is really a very atractive one, because includes 3 of the more important subjects in libraries: management and access to e-books in different european libraries, Intellectual property and preservation of cultural heritage and research dissemination through open access<br /> <br />Is a great opportunity for Spanish librarians to have the possibility of having “at home” such an interesting program and also of listening to a group of European experts in the different areas related above.<br />On behalf of the Spanish information professionals I want to express you all, how happy we do feel because of your acceptance to come to Malaga and share with us worktime and leissure time in this beautiful andalusian spring.<br />Thank you for coming to Spain and good work!<br />
