4. Typography,Photography & Colour The typography for this album is quite obvious. The band name, ‘MONA’ is the most eye catching feature on the album and this can emphasise the fact that this is a debut album and that the band want to establish their arrival on the music scene. In terms of colour, size and style; its all very basic in terms of conventions yet it manages to dominate the album cover regardless. Moving onto the photography, this album is made up of a variety of images, it’s a collage in a way and consists of dominant images such as a lion that has caught its prey, a young boy in a soldiers uniform, two toddlers boxing amongst a few other images. This can give off the impression that the band’s lyrics have something to do with the topics and issues that are portrayed across the images and that they have put allot of emotion into it. In terms of colour, only back and white is used which in a way doesn’t enable it to be as eye catching as a multi-coloured pop album cover.
