“urbAn micRo Solar Farm (ARSF )“
• After the installation the ARSF will start generating the power, and in turn power
generates money in the form of revenue to the entrepreneur / Investor.
• And during initial stages we would have taken all the necessary documents to
connect the entrepreneur / investor’s account so that the generated money can
be directly transferred after the tax deductions. If any tax exemptions were
given it will be transferred without deduction.
• During the transfer of money as we have complete property details including the
khata and PID number in case of Self Assessment Tax with GIS based tracking (
example : BBMP, Bangalore). The property tax can be paid with the money
generated by the ARSF. And rest of the money can be transferred to the bank
account of the Entrepreneur / Investor.
• The ULB’s can give rebate on property tax as it will be remitted to them in
advance. By doing this ULB’s will get sufficient revenue for city development in
advance.
• As this ARSF is doing the commercial activity the ULB’s can exempt them from
commercial tax so that it will motivate more and more people to invest in ARSF.

34. FDI and funding can be Tapped
• FDI can be tapped in banking / Investment banking sector
• State Electricity Board can approach WB, ADB, Japanese Bank , UNICEF
hedge funds etc for the GRID network development to collected and
transmit the power generated in solar
• The FII’s who wants to fund the green energy project can be allowed to
do their retail business for funding in collaboration with local banks in
INDIA

35. How this Biz is bankable
• From the day one of installation is done It will start generating power.
So the revenue will also be generated at the same time.
• As the farm size is small the risk of non functioning is negligible . Only
risk is identifying the actual owner of the property. This can be tackled
by taking the help of revenue and urban local body ( ULB’s) for cross
checking the paper work.
• The BEP of the farm will be less than a year. And there after it keeps
generating profit to the entrepreneurs / investors till the life time of PV
system(~25 years).

36. How and when will it start generating
revenue
• Once the paper work is cleared and the investment is made
from the Entrepreneur/ Investor the installation will be done.
• Once the installation is done and the E-account is activated
and it will be connected with mobile phone for the e-messaging.

38. Power Grid Corporation of India
• Will help GOI by its suggestions, weather to develop a separate GRID
at local level for the collection of power or else can we utilize the
available resources at PAN India level.
• It will give us the idea how to synchronize the generated power and
distribute and store it at substation level.
• Will helps us to know how to minimize the leakages during the transition
and distribution of the generated power.
• Will help us to use the upgraded, hybrid and cost effective equipments
and module to store and distribute the power
• Also will help us to monitor the supply demand status through out the
country.

39. Project Implementation Unit ( PIU)
• PIU will work in censuses with the Power Corporation of India ,respective
state electricity boards and Local Power distribution companies to
implement the project
• PIU will prioritize which region to be chosen for the implementation based
on the availability of required necessary resource for the project and
also will look for power deficit area’s to be covered as early as possible
• PIU will prepare a detailed implementation manual for the local
contractor’s and also to the Entrepreneur who has invested the money for
the “urbAn micRo Solar Farm “
• The Manual will also contains the list of do’es and don’t along with the
detailed description of Power purchase agreement.
• PIU will closely monitor the implementation and keep updating the
coverage area against the Master Plan.
• Once the “ urbAn micRo Solar Farm” is implemented on the roof top it will
be handed over to the respective entrepreneur. The representative /
executive from state electricity board / an executive from local power
distribution company will cross check the set up and will issues the NOC
for the farm. Once it is give the power purchase agreement will be
signed between the two parties.

40. Regulatory body
• Will help to regulate the business and fix up the rate of power purchase
rates and selling rates.
• Will look in to all the legal formats of the contracts and will give its
suggestion where ever it is required
• Power Purchase price to be revised against the Inflation of Rupee.
• Revised prices and also the periodic audit reports of the “urbAn micRo
Solar Farm” to be submitted to the Controller and Auditor General of
India (CAG)

41. Procurement Cell / Dept.
• Shortlist the solar photovoltaic cell manufacturers on PAN INDIA level. And negotiate the
best rates and standardize the rates at PAN India level.
• Empanelment of technocrats / R & D centers to help project in enhancing the productivity
and efficiency
• Identify the contractors from E-bidding/tendering procedures for the implementation of
the GRID lines from door to door to the substations
• Stationeries for marketing dept. and list of vendors who are needed for the marketing
purpose will be shortlisted and rates will be negotiated by the Procurement cell in
consensus marketing dept.
• Procurement cell/ dept. will be responsible for all the procurement dept. activities all
along the project as and when required

42. Marketing, BD and Sales
• Will take care of marketing and BD of the project “urbAn micRo Solar Farm”
• Will Prepare the advertising strategies required for the project at PAN INDIA level and customized the
same to the local regional level by blending it with respective culture / region.
• Monitor the project coverage area with the help of PIU. And if the registration are going down then
will enhance the advertizing and prepare a strategies and new schemes to attract the entrepreneur to
invest money in the project.
• Will do the road shows and seminars or skids to spread and educate the positive impacts of the project
• Randomly pick the entrepreneurs, who have already invested and generating the money and will
record their view and experiences. This will help to create mouth publicity about the project
• Should circulate the newsletter to all the entrepreneurs / investors on monthly or quarterly basis

43. IT & ITeS Dept.
• IT cell / Dept & ITeS can be outsourced.
• The web page, e-commerce connect and call centers and local call centers can
be established or outsourced as per requirement in pan INDIA level
• The e-commerce account can be developed and managed and maintained as
per the guidelines of RBI and SEBI
• Each investor/ Entrepreneur will get his/her account once they make the
investment.
• The accounts can only be generated in the name of the property owner. Where
PDI no/ khata extracts / property tax records should be submitted during the
opening of account. The accounts will be activated only after the verification of
the documents which are filed / uploaded online.
• The hard copy of the same will be collected during the time of signing of power
purchase agreement
• The technical know how will be provided by the customer support cell. as well as
the snags and issues the ticket will be raised on the voice based call center and
then the technician will visit and resolve the problems and later the customer
feed back will be taken on the same

44. IT & ITeS Dept. Contd..
• ERP i.e enterprise resource planning software should be implemented on the
entire project so that each and every information and business transaction will
be recorded and updated as all the transaction can be tracked by the form
numbers and the unique ID’s given or in each and every products and transaction
done which can be tracked and traced at pan India level
• And by implementing ERP all the processes and dept.’s will be integrated. With
the help of this at end of every working day the nodal officer / CEO will be
having the business data along with the coverage network and revenue
generated at the end of every business day
• ITeS will help the entrepreneurs in services and maintenance calls, tech
support, and O&M calls etc
• Should centrally monitor the demand / supply / deficit reports which can be on
the regular time intervals

46. Format of the application form to the
entrepreneur / investor
• It can be E- registration form / hard copy which has to be filled by the entrepreneur / investor
• Who ever prefers the E-form the online account can be generated at the signup time itself. For other it
has to be done at the registration centers
• If the entrepreneurs don’t invest with in the time of 30 / 90 days the account will be deactivated
• The registration fee will be charged about Rs 500 for each registration and each hard copy form will
cost Rs 10 /- each
• After signup / submitting the form along with the registration fee the account will be activated till the
30/90 days. If entrepreneurs don’t invest the money as per their space details the account will be
deactivated. And if again they have to activate their account then new fresh account has to be created
with all the activities and fee.
• This e account can be connected to their respective bank account to transfer the money generated by
the “urbAn micRo Solar Farm” (ARSF ltd).
• Entrepreneur has to fill in all the details asked by the ASRF ltd. Which are required for the company
smooth functioning.
• The e-manuals and news letters, manufactures details will be made available in e-account. And hard
copy can be circulated based on the requisition by the investors / entrepreneur
• If any changes in the rates of power purchase and renewal of insurances will be intimated to respective
entrepreneurs through e-mail/ mobile sms and post.
