2. ABOUT ME
For over ten years I’ve worked side-by-side with a
number of visionary entrepreneurs and for the last
three of those years as a freelancer. I am passionate
about design. I love challenges. Good job I’m a
Graphic Designer! I am very fortunate to have worked
in this industry for 11 years, learning and expanding
my expertise with every job and project. I studied
graphic design in Malaysia and worked with it’s top
advertising agencies for 5 years gaining experience
before moving to the UK. I have major skills in
branding, print design and events. Have I mentioned I
am passionate about design?
Professional design
I would sum up my style sensibilities as:
professional, consistent, visually-compelling, and
approachable. My portfolio is proof.
Advertising background
I’m not only an experienced graphic designer, but
I’ve worked in an advertising agency and have
learned very quickly what sells. My advertising
background gives me an edge over other
designers. Why? I’m constantly thinking about
the customer and producing work that sells.
A focus on branding
I have a knack for developing unique brand
images for my clients and weaving that look
through every other collateral piece I develop for
them.

As a freelance designer I’ve worked with
corporate businesses as well as small start up
companies. I have worked on projects from
financial sectors producing annual report,
travel and leisure companies promoting
lifestyles, restaurants and food companies to
events promotion where I have also designed
and built exhibition booths and launch
gimmicks. I also design and produce the
bread and butter of all designers work such
as brochure, leaflets, posters, banners logo
design, branding and stationery.

in Malaysia, Citra Advertising gave me the
chance to take my graphic design skills to a
new level, as well as being actively involved in
the “brand-building” process.

Working with QuarkXPress, Photoshop,
Illustrator, FreeHand, PageMaker & CorelDraw
on a Macintosh, I was responsible for
the monthly design of Sony Music, BMG
& Universal Record Promotion material
and most of the adverts within it. I also
produced adverts for and designed many
other pieces of work for print, including
telecommunications publicity. Offset litho
printing was done on site, for which I output
film via image setter. In my time there, I
redesigned G Scene, instigated a new
filing systems and carried out technical
maintenance on the Macintosh system,
including the setting up of networks and the
configuration of hardware and software.
