ressa di più; ti posso assicurare però, che spesso e volen-
tieri, quando vendo, se “faccio pari” è festa grossa.
Come definiresti il collezionista di penne?
E lo speculatore? Luoghi come eBay e i
pen show li consideri più luoghi di ricerca o
di speculazione?
Credo che ci siano due tipi di collezionista:
quello arruffone, confusionario, convulsivo e
schizofrenico come me, che vorrebbe avere tut-
te le penne che vede passare sotto i suoi occhi,
dalle più rare alle più inguardabili, e quello (come
qualche amico del forum) che oltre a possedere
molte penne, effettua ricerche storiche sui produt-
tori, sui brevetti, sulle tecniche di costruzione.
Due tipi diversi, ma entrambi amanti della penna sti-
lografica in quanto tale. Lo speculatore, invece, è se-
condo me quello che quando vede una tua penna, ma-
gari pure bella e rara, non ti fa i complimenti perché la
possiedi e non ti ringrazia perché la fai vedere: ti chiede
quanto l’hai pagata e da chi l’hai comprata, e tendenzial-
mente poi affermerà sempre che l’hai pagata troppo, che
lui te l’avrebbe offerta a meno e che il tipo da cui l’hai
comprata è uno inaffidabile. Non credo che lo speculatore
ami la stilografica, perché per lui la penna è soltanto il
mezzo (come potrebbe essere qualsiasi altro oggetto) per
sopire la sua sete di fare business.
