2. Causes Sexual transmission – through sexual contact i.e. vaginal, anal or oral sex with an infected sex partner. Besides through direct contact, there is also a chance to get infected by sharing sexual devices.

3. Causes Transmission through blood- The most common causes is by sharing syringes and needles through blood transfusion activities

4. Causes Transmission through pregnancy – From mother to fetus. Report has shown that over 500 thousand of infants infected HIV during pregnancy or breast feeding.

5. Effects Skin effects Varicella zoster virus infection Causes chicken pox and Shingles HIV patients who didn’t have chicken pox earlier in their life may develop the condition, which in some cases affect their organs and become life-threatening Shingles lesions can be come infected and even lead to the development of encephalitis in people with HIV

6. Effects Although HIV does not appear to infect nerve cells, it does somehow affect their ability to function normally it can cause AIDS- Related dementia A decrease in the ability to think properly and process information Brain tumors that either begin in the brain or spread ot the brain from elsewhere in the body
