2. Day1:HanoiArrival
Dinner in our hotel, the award-winning
Sofitel Metropole 5* DLX.
The first time that this stunning,
old- world charmer of a hotel offered
strictly dining was to President
Shimon Peres and his entourage in
2012. They can’t wait
to do it again, for US!!
This is one of the world’s finest hotels
- a French colonial-style hotel located
in the heart of Hanoi. We will be here
for 5 glorious nights!!
HOTEL: Sofitel Legend Metropole HOTEL 5*
Day2:Hanoi
After breakfast, we’ll leave for Hoa Binh Province,
where we’ll take the boat trip on the Da river to see
how the Muong ethnic people live. We’ll visit a home
and enjoy the gorgeous scenery. Lunch, sent from the
hotel’s kitchen, will be taken along the way…
On the way back to Hanoi we’ll stop at the Ho Chi Minh
Trail Museum. The legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail was the
supply line used by North Vietnam to link North and
South Vietnam during the American War. Soldiers,
ammunition, weapons and supplies were carried by
hand, bicycle and truck for hundreds of kilometers
through the otherwise impenetrable jungle that
covered Vietnam’s mountainous border with Laos. A
testimony to the ingenuity, fortitude and
commitment of the northern Vietnamese, the trail slipped from use at the end of
the war and was taken back by the jungle.

Day3:Hanoi-Ha LongBay
Cruise–Hanoi

Weather permitting, we will divide into 2
groups; one will take the helicopter to Ha
Long Bay, the other will return by helicopter
3. from Ha Long Bay. The other legs will be by bus so as to enjoy the sights and the
local handicrafts centre en route. (If you prefer, you can take the bus or helicopter
there and back!!)
After boarding our tour boat, we’ll be served the lunch prepared on board with
freshly caught fish and other ingredients we supply. Then, we’ll take a cruise for
about 4 hours between the limestone outcrops and long corridors, visiting THIEN
CUNG DAU GO cave- the most beautiful cave in the bay.
Dinner will be in a delicious Vietnamese Buddhist Vegan restaurant, with the food
prepared in the presence of our Mashgiach, of course. O/N – Sofitel Metropole.
Day4:Hanoi
Day5:Hanoi
After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll visit some of
the major Hanoi sights: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum
and Museum, One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of
Literature, Hilton Prison, and the Ethnic Museum.
After lunch, there’ll be free time for shopping
and markets before candle-lighting at 17h20.
Dinner in our hotel, The Sofitel Metropole.
Davening and breakfast will be followed by a guided walking tour of the city in whose
center we are staying to see the Hoan Kiem Lake and the Ngoc Son Temple. Lunch will
be in the hotel and after a rest we’ll be charmed by Hanoi’s old quarter.
Straight after Havdala, 18h20 we’ll experience the excitement of Hanoi’s traffic
from up close with a tour on the famous “cyclo” taxis before going out for another
superb vegetarian Melave Malka!!
Day6:Hanoi-Hue
Indulge yourselves with a leisurely
breakfast before we leave for our mid-day
flight to Hue. Lunch will be supplied from
the hotel to be eaten during the flight!!
Once in Hue, we’ll visit the Dong Ba
market, the Imperial Citadel from where
the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802
and 1945, and the ruins of the Purple
Forbidden City
4. Dinner in another fabulous hotel: La Residence 5* DLX where we’ll be staying for
just 2 nights
Day7:Hue
After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll take a boat
trip on the famous Perfumed River to visit Thien
Mu pagoda, the Forbidden city and Khai Dinh tomb
and if time permits we might visit the DMZ
between North and South Vietnam to help our
understanding of that terrible war.
We’ll eat a picnic on the move for lunch and
return to the Hue La Residence for dinner and
overnight.
Day8:Hue–HoiAn–HCMC (Saigon)
We’ll breakfast early at the
hotel, before setting off by
bus on the journey to Hoi-An.
A walking tour of Hoi An’s
lovely ancient town, with its
Japanese bridge and Phuc
Kien Pagoda, includes a visit
to a silk factory and market.
We’ll bring lunch and dinner
with us from Hue and after
the tour of Hoi-An we’ll take
an evening flight to HCMC,
enjoying the dinner on the
flight!!
Hotel: Sofitel Plaza 5* where we’ll stay for 3 nights
Day9:HCMC
Breakfast at the hotel. Then we’re off to the Chu Chi tunnels, around 75kms west
from Ho Chi Minh City, and visit the Vietnam War related site. Picnic lunch.
On our return to the city we’ll visit the Re-Unification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral
and the General Post Office
Dinner in our specially koshered restaurant before retiring – the Sofitel Plaza
5. Day10:HCMC
Day11:HCMC –SiemReap
After breakfast in the hotel,
we drive to Vinh Long in the
Mekong Delta region. Here
we’ll take a river tour of
the Cai Be floating market.
Then we’ll experience an
easy bicycle ride in Vinh
Long, visiting a fruit farmer
and tasting his delicious
fruits.
Back to HCMC for dinner in
our koshered restaurant and
to the Sofitel Plaza to sleep!!
Breakfast at the hotel before we
transfer - to HCMC airport for our
flight to Siem Reap, Cambodia.
On arrival, we’ll start our tour of
the great Angkor temples complex.
In the afternoon, we’ll come to our
hotel, the Grand Hotel Raffles 5*
DLX, the sister hotel to the world-
famous Raffles of Singapore. Lunch
will be ready for us and then there
will be time to relax, swim and prepare for Shabbat, 17h45. Here for 3 nights.
Kabbalat Shabbat and Dinner will be in our hotel.
Day12:SiemReap
Davening and breakfast at the hotel.
Perhaps by the pool – something very
memorable!!
During the day we’ll not only relax, but
also take a walking tour and visit the
Angkor Museum and a local temple. All
meals will be in the hotel.
After Shabbat we’ll go into the old town to
enjoy the nightlife of this very
cosmopolitan, modern, buzzing township – the main source of tourist income for
Cambodia.
6. Day13:SiemReap
Our last full day will be used to explore Angkor further. Our tour will include: the
ruins of the city of Angkor Thom with its unique structures such as The Bayon, The
Phmeanakas, The Terrace of the Elephants and more. We will learn about the ancient
ways of life and the historical events from the bas-reliefs inscribed on the walls. We
will also visit the unrivaled mighty Angkor Wat, which is the biggest structure left
almost fully intact, with its huge surrounding moat and corridors. And in Tha Phrom
temple we will be able to value the great power of the jungle.
As evening falls we’ll climb Bakheng Hill to watch the magnificent sunset over the
great plains.

Day14:SiemReap-Departure
Breakfast at the hotel.
Our finale will be an excursion by boat on
Tonlé Sap Lake to watch the floating
village and the surrounding rice fields on
the way. (See what the boy standing has
around his neck?) Return to the city and
visit Artisans d’Angkor artists school for
traditional crafts.
We’ll then eat a late lunch / early
dinner before we transfer to the airport
for departing flights.
