What does it mean to be epic? Do things differently, better and bigger.
I’ve heard many leaders answer A. But you can’t do A well, if you can’t first do C.
Your job is to be at the front line constantly inspiring your team to do more.
Three step process to rallying your board around a vision.
Show your board members the vision of what’s possible. Get them out of their offices, do something different for a board retreat. Present your vision and start building your board as a family.
If you only think about what’s been done before, you might not be able to dream about what’s possible. Help your team see beyond what they know.
If team members own the vision, you don’t have to motivate them on an ongoing basis. They want their ideas to be successful. And they’ll work harder.
Ask your team to participate in building goals. Give them a framework for thinking beyond the norm.
Rewards don’t have to be big. Sometimes a little recognition goes a long way.
Do the small things for your team. The little extras that make a big difference.
