This document discusses a project to digitize approximately 40,000 reels from Kol Israel's audio collection over the course of a year. The process involved gathering reels from storage, hydrating very old materials, digitizing the audio, and performing quality assurance checks on the output. Metadata was collected from existing databases and paper records to provide information about broadcast dates and content. The digitized audio was converted to different formats and loaded into storage systems for preservation at Harvard and Rashut Hashidur.
