REPRESENT PARTICULAR SOCIAL GROUPS?

2. As our thriller opening shows both characters in our opening are male characters which
fits the typical of a spy thriller. Both of our characters wore formal wear (shirt and ties)
and both play very dominant roles. The opening shows evidence of this as both men talk
with authority and power and their attitude shows a great deal of confidence. We
anticipated these stereotypical thriller conventions after watching many different types of
spy thrillers such as; James bond, the Bourne identity, mission impossible and tinker tailor
soldier spy, in particular James bond. We was drawn to the character of James bond as the
role is extremely typical of a thriller film, the character acts with authority and power and
this is the perfect role for our film.
The screen shot below shows the similarities between the two characters as both are
wearing formal wear even of the same colour. Both men in the screen shots are perceived
as typical spy’s.
