Now to start up with this essay, firstly will discuss the definition of strength. Author Brook and Brewerton, (2006) have provided a good definition of strengths stating that “strength is the underlying qualities that energies the people, contribute to our personal growth and lead us to peak performance”. It means that people who focus on their strength in their activity and work, that person will definitely overcome their problems associated with that activity with the

help of their strength. They will definitely make a way to come out of that problem that will lead to improve their performance and lead to peak performance (Brook and Brewerton, 2006).
Now to talk about strength based leadership, it is describe as “strength based leadership is that tool which can lead to higher productivity of the organization and will provide better customer satisfaction”. If the leader major focus will be on employee’s strength, it will help them to motivate their employees and the productivity of their organization will increase ultimately and that lead to better product with customer satisfaction (Buckingham and Clifton, 2005).
Another area that proves to be fruitful because of strength based leadership is the performance of all employees. It is needed to say that, if the leader put emphasis on employees strength it will results in the better performance of an employees. Employee feels that the organization and their leader are in favor of them and are not exploiting them. This positive feeling can come only if strength of employees is focused. From the research it is seen that, by focusing on employee’s strength, 36% of employee performance are increased in the business environment (Brown, 2007).
Another advantage of strength based leadership is that it helps to retain large number of employees in an organization (Brown, 2007). In other words, if employees are appraised with their strength, they feel satisfied with their present job and will love to be with that organization for long time. So this is also one of the advantages of having strength based leadership. This all are advantages of having strength based leadership by Gallup (Kaplan and Kaiser, 2009).
Saying against Gallup, Kaplan and Kaiser said that overplaying strength can diminish the capacity of employees on work and then it becomes their weakness. This will lower down the effectiveness and productivity not only of work but also of leadership. Another area that this will affect in a view of Kaplan and Kaiser is team performance in terms of morale and engagement. This is some views of Kaplan and Kaiser in regards with strength based leadership (Kaplan, 2006).
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, it is being concluded that strength based leadership is resulting in benefits for employees as well as for the organization. It is also correct that over playing with the strength can also become the weakness, so a versatile leadership approach should be adopted.

REFLECTIVE STATEMENT
In my college, a green fest was organized. I that fest, whole college was divided into four group i.e. green group, red group, yellow and white group. I was selected as a captain of green group and I have to manage and allot work to all my member of group. Successfully, I have allotted work to each and every member. On next day, I was being informed that, few member of my group are not happy with the work that are being allotted because they feel that this work it bit down market and cheap. I communicate this problem to my class teacher and he just said one line that you are being held as a leader and only you have to solve it out, try to understand your inner strength and I am sure that you will be able to sort this problem in a very effective manner.
I return back to my group and in a room I called that member. My aim is to first educate them regarding their work in front of them not in front of whole group. I said them that, listen guys no work is seem to be small and cheap what makes it cheap is you’re not doing that task and your low interest. Each and every work has some importance and without that the main objective can’t be fulfilled. Over the time I have seen you that you were very good in doing that task and when it comes to show your efficiency you were denying to do so because you feel it was cheap, that really unfair. I have allotted this task to you because you were the only people who can make it possible with your ideas and creativity; else no one can do it.
