Generation Gap:Our students are growing up in a world very different from the one we grew up in, they learn different from us, and we are preparing them for careers that haven’t been invented yet…we need to use the tools that are available to best prepare them to compete. ICT-Information, Communications and Technology
Its not about getting a device in every student’s hand its about what we are asking students to engage with.Technology can help remove barriers in a world that was previously limited by analog/physical availability Leveling the playing field for those that don’t have access to technology at home, so that when they graduate they hit the ground running

I interpret this to mean that students need a twenty-first century version of book sense. We used to teach students how to find books in a library, how to determine who the author and illustrator is, and where to find copyright information. We now need to teach them how to determine keywords, know how to search, be able to determine who created a particular web page and evaluate a page for bias and reliability.
