• An OB3 account, which we will issue
to you
Getting ready
• Request your OB3 account by
sending a chat message in Zoom
(privately or to the room)

environment for creating and
sharing content as part of
informal, non-formal, and formal
learning.

• Time-starved academics with no
time to update teaching
documents
• Students not engaging in
discussion forums
• Educational designers having
difficulties in updating teaching
materials for different courses
against deadlines
Digital ethics and
digital literacy

OB3 has been designed to
empower people with basic digital
literacy, so they can produce
content to keep and share online
as part of educational activities.
Author attribution or ownership is
tracked at every instance (data
ownership).
Within minutes, individuals
with basic technological skills
(i.e. users of MS Office,
internet browsers, and email
applications) can author and
share media-rich documents
including hyperlinks,
embedded discussions,
videos, and/or audio-
recordings.

The OB3 platform is a game changing
educational technology that shifts the power
from institutions to individuals (i.e. academic
staff, students, learning support).
An individual chooses what content to share
and with whom throughout lifelong study.
The content authored in OB3 travels with
him/her throughout every educational
experience, whether this occurs in formal, non-
formal, or informal education.

During the workshop, attendees will learn
how to build an OB3 reflective practice
portfolio:
1. Capture your thoughts in writing, audio recordings, video, photos,
hyperlinks, etc. to reflect on development areas;
2. Keep private and personal records of your reflections as they
happen;
3. Email content and any attachments from your mobile devices
directly to your portfolio;
4. Share selected sections of your reflections with other people as
part of a formal, non-formal, or informal learning activity

What OB3 – Beautiful Study for Lifelong Learning is a personal learning environment for creating and sharing content as part of informal, non-formal, and formal learning. 4 Pain/Need • Time-starved academics with no time to update teaching documents • Students not engaging in discussion forums • Educational designers having difficulties in updating teaching materials for different courses against deadlines

Digital ethics and digital literacy 5 OB3 has been designed to empower people with basic digital literacy, so they can produce content to keep and share online as part of educational activities. Author attribution or ownership is tracked at every instance (data ownership). Within minutes, individuals with basic technological skills (i.e. users of MS Office, internet browsers, and email applications) can author and share media-rich documents including hyperlinks, embedded discussions, videos, and/or audio- recordings.
  • 6. 6 The OB3 platform is a game changing educational technology that shifts the power from institutions to individuals (i.e. academic staff, students, learning support). An individual chooses what content to share and with whom throughout lifelong study. The content authored in OB3 travels with him/her throughout every educational experience, whether this occurs in formal, non- formal, or informal education.

  • 13. During the workshop, attendees will learn how to build an OB3 reflective practice portfolio: 1. Capture your thoughts in writing, audio recordings, video, photos, hyperlinks, etc. to reflect on development areas; 2. Keep private and personal records of your reflections as they happen; 3. Email content and any attachments from your mobile devices directly to your portfolio; 4. Share selected sections of your reflections with other people as part of a formal, non-formal, or informal learning activity 13
