Accommodation Feasibility Study
(TAFS)
In January 2020, our Chief and Council approved theTAFS. We worked with a consultant
to complete aTourism Feasibility andAccommodation Study which was designed to
look at the viability of entering into one of the most lucrative industries in Peterborough
County, while staying true to our values and our culture.
I am currently developing an action plan and researching funding opportunities to
complete this action plan.
10. We proudly recognize that
small business is the lifeblood
of the Curve Lake Economy
and work to foster growth in
this sector. We are challenged
with the lack of commercial
space, but our efforts in
funding and technical support
have seen many successes in
this area.

12. We are always investigating ways for the
community to become more economically
independent through own-source revenue.
We are currently focusing our efforts on
looking at business opportunities that will
create jobs, use small amounts of land (if
located on Reserve) and generate revenue
for the First Nation.
13. Reliable, affordable
transportation provides
enhanced opportunities for
training, education,
employment, health services
and social connections.We’ve
partnered with local
Municipalities to apply for and
receive $1.5 Million for a 4

system.
