No Airflow
– Server fans blocked off to prevent airflow
– Lab HVAC system may have had some effect
Heat Soak
– A minimum of 10 minutes was allowed for the parts to reach a stable temp, HBA ports idle of
I/O traffic but ports are looped back
Calibration
– Spot temps were checked with a Omega contact thermocouple
– HBAs were painted flat black to prevent reflections
– The cameras general emissivity was adjusted to .92 to match the reflection properties of the
painted surface and to coincide with the Omega temps
