2. Programmes used to edit
For our opening sequence to be complete, we needed to use many
different websites, products and cameras. The main source for post and
pre production was Final cut pro.
This was what we used to edit and add all our shot on to create our
successful opening sequence.
3. The equipment used
The computers we
used to edit and
unload our opening
sequence eon to were
the Mac’s

our footage for the opening sequence of

create stability and balance through all
of our shots. Some of the shots were
filmed free hand, however the majority
were used on the Tripod.

The software we
used was final cut
Pro. In the picture
we can see that final
cut Pro is up on the
screen and this is
what we used to
pull our opening
sequence together
once we had filmed
all of our shots.
4. We first learnt how to use Final cut Pro when doing our prelim task. This is where we
picked up the basic skill of how t cut, edit and add effects to the footage we had
filmed. This really helped us leading in to our final opening because we became
more efficient and could fin the edits and effects we wanted more easily. Below is
an image from our prelim task and then a still from our final edit to show how we
transitioned from basic skill to a full opening sequence.
Using final cut pro was really amazing and it helped us a lot to make our opening look as professional as
possible. With final cut we were able to achieve continuity very well throughout our opening sequence. The
music and sound effects on the software also had great editing skills to make things seem quieter/louder and
even fade In and out. As you can see we have been able to add effects and a variety of Camera angles.
5. This screen shot of our editing on Final Cut Pro is to show the editing effects we used. We were able
to use different effects to enhance the image of our shots, create higher definition and also make a
bigger shadow. This allowed us to really make our Opening sequence as eerie as possible and to fit
with the Genre of a psychological thriller. By adding background shadows and enhancing this shot we
wee able to make it stand out more and create suspense for the target audience

6. This is an annotation of our Company Ident. Using final cut pro we were able to create a very
professional looking company ident. This meant that by using the software we were able to make our
opening sequence look as real to the professional ones as possible. This is why we used Final cut pro to
help with our opening sequence creation.
Here are the effects
we were able to use
on Final cut. These
allowed us to use
animations for the
Ident to swoop in
from one side.

Copyright free sound effects from. This
enabled us to use the music we wanted to fit
our genre without being copy right.
