t h a t h e m i g h t d i e a n d s a i d , “ I t i s b e t t e r f o r m e
t o d i e t h a n t o l i v e . ” B u t G o d s a i d t o J o n a h , “ D o
y o u d o w e l l t o b e a n g r y f o r t h e p l a n t ? ” A n d h e
s a i d , “ Ye s , I d o w e l l t o b e a n g r y, a n g r y e n o u g h
t o d i e . ”

p e r i s h e d i n a n i g h t . A n d s h o u l d n o t I p i t y
N i n e v e h , t h a t g r e a t c i t y, i n w h i c h t h e r e a r e
m o r e t h a n 1 2 0 , 0 0 0 p e r s o n s w h o d o n o t k n o w
t h e i r r i g h t f r o m t h e i r l e f t , a n d a l s o m u c h
c a t t l e ? ”
16. [1:2] Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city;
[1:4] But the Lord hurled a great wind upon the sea and there was a
great tempest on the sea;
[1:10] …the men were greatly afraid…
[1:16] …Then the men feared the Lord greatly;
[1:17] And the Lord appointed a great fish…
[3:2] Go to Nineveh, that great city…
[3:3] Now Nineveh was an exceedingly great city…
[3:5] They put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them to the least of
them.
[4:1] But it displeased Jonah greatly, and he was angry.
[4:11] And should not I pity Nineveh, that great city…
