1) These 3 advertswere advertscreatedby McDonalds to promote theirMcDonalds monopoly
in2017. The aimand objective of the advertswere togetmore people buyingfoodfrom
McDonalds,especiallynowthere isanofferonwhere people canwinthingsasthiswill get
more people spendingmoneyat McDonalds.LeoBurnettwere the companythatadvertised
the advertsand theyhave done lotsof advertisingforMcDonalds suchas the “big mac 50”
and “flatwhat?”
2) I thinkthere are 2 differenttargetaudiences,adultsandteenagers. Ithinkitistargetedat
adultsas adultswill have the mostmoneytospendon McDonalds, alsomost of the prizes
are targetedat adultsastheyare cars, holidaysandmoney.Itistargetedat teenagersas
stereotypicallyteenagerseatmore fastfoodandsome of the prizesoffermore free food
whichwill entice teenagers.
3) I wouldn’tsaythatit isrepresentedhumorously howeveritiscartoonyso it isaimedat all
people ascartoonsare seenasfriendly.Ithinkthatthe advertsare representedfactuallyas
it haslotsof facts onwhat youcan winandhow you can win.
4) The unique sellingpointof these advertsisthe monopolyandwinningprizesandfree
McDonalds.I thinkthat the waytheyhave partneredupwithmonopoly(ahuge familyboard
game) thismeansthatMcDonalds will make more salesdue tothe connection/partnership.
5) Theyhave many differentadvertsadvertisingMcDonald’smonopoly.Theyhave aTV advert
whichwasaudio-visual.Theyhave aradioadvertwhichisaudioand theyhad a poster
advertwhichwasin theirrestaurantswhichwasprint.Theyalsohadadvertsonline suchas
websitesandsocial mediaplatforms. Ithinkthattheyadvertiseditsomanydifferentways
so itwill reacheveryone forexample some people don’tlistentothe radiosotheycould
watch iton TV.
2. 6) The audioadverthas a little bitof humourasit isjokingaboutsomeone whowaswinninga

. It thenbecomesserious sayinghow hisluck
might’ve changedif he playedMcDonaldmonopoly.Anditsayshow andwhat youcan win.
Thenit has the trademarkMcDonaldwhistle andthenthe termsandconditions. The male
voice youhearsayingit isthe same voice thatisin mostof McDonald’sradioadverts. I think
theyuse the same man for the voice oversopeople cantell itisMcDonald’sand because he
has a friendlyvoice.Ithinkthe humourappealstobothtargetaudiencesof
students/childrenandparentsasthese are the mainpeople whowouldbuyMcDonalds.It
thinkthe advertwas successful becauseMcDonald’smonopolyissucha bigthingand
because theyadvertiseditwell.
