I have been a researcher and community advocate on diverse issues related to health and social justice. I believe that in order to promote health for all people in all places, we must be able to identify health disparities, build community capacity for health promotion, and push for data-driven policies that promote well-being. Proudly raised in Kāneʻohe, O‘ahu, I went on to receive a B.S. in Biology, Genetics and Development from Cornell University, and a Masters in Public Health from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, where I am currently a doctoral student in Epidemiology.
