2. About Me
My goal is to direct customers to your growing business by showcasing your
unique brand story. With over 10 years experience creating content and over
three years building brands and offering SEO rich copywriting in E-
Commerce, you can count on me for attention-grabbing, creative work.
I’ve got an eclectic writing background- as Walt Whitman writes, "I am large, I contain multitudes." Over the
last 6 months, I have worked as an entertainment and travel journalist for The Pocono Journal on VisitPoconos.com
writing speciality pieces about events and local businesses in the Wyoming Valley.
In the last three and a half years, I have written product copy for high end E-commerce fashion retail, with a focus in
Fragrance and Beauty, Performance/athletics, Shoes, Jewelry, Accessories, Birdcage, and Home and Seasonal products as
well as researched, completed comparative analysis and wrote copy standards for Home, Fragrance and Beauty, and
Birdcage.
I love creative variety and telling stories from unique angles. Over the last two years, I was the exclusive voice for
biographical vendor content and product copy for Birdcage, a high-end specialty shop at Lord and Taylor. I especially
enjoyed working with buyers, marketing analysts and upcoming businesses to build a strong shop voice, improve
conversion rates and reduce returns while using best SEO practices for keyword and content strategy.
In the past, I have prepared and edited images for layouts, created and written newsletters and prepared a variety of digital
and print communications from blogs to sales and news campaigns to press releases and results reporting.

3. MY WORK IN ACTION
Henry David Thoreau writes, ”Simplify, Simplify.”
The most effective words are said simply, tactfully, and accurately, and I believe that
writing and performing my poetry has prepared me best in the creation of
meaningful and powerful writing. I have also gained strong public
speaking/presentation skills and audience engagement.

“We’d be happy for your copy team to
generate the descriptions again. […] you
begin every description with: The designers of
Various Projects are playfully "improving the
quality of lives, one keytag at a time." This was
followed by a sentence reacting to or
elaborating on the spirit of the individual
Keytag.” –Various Projects, Various Keytags
6. Freelance and Contract Copywriting
“I worked briefly with Erin at Sakari Salon. She
helped me with a web project, writing web
content for the site. Erin's work on Sakari's bios
was creative. She helped edit and reflect each
person's unique qualities. I would definitely
work with her again.”

The secret to tasty salsa is to first tantalize
the reader’s mind with mouthwatering copy.
As part of a contract job, I wrote the salsa

7. One of my favorite aspects of writing is the diversity. I’ve interviewed authors, plastic
surgeons, spa and salon owners, nude art models, mattress store owners, dance instructors,
motivational speakers, musicians, and actors to produce business biographies, profiles,
human interest pieces, and articles for websites and weeklies such as: VisitPoconos.com
and The Philadelphia City Paper, and national publications such as: The Woman's
Newspaper.

8. As an online college instructor and a book
editor, managing and communicating
effectively and closely with others, making
deadlines and dealing with shifting priorities
is a must. Researching, checking information
accuracy, editing and proofreading, and then
communicating that material effectively and
engaging the right audience is of utmost
importance.
“Erin knows her stuff! She manages to fix
the things that need fixing in a manuscript
without losing the author’s voice. A rare
talent.” – Paul Barretta, Owner of Talent
Clearing House, Inc.

9. Digital and Print Communications
Preparing print and digital projects along with
social media communications is an important
aspect of strong and tuned-in business today. My
continued experience in writing newsletters,
preparing sales and news campaigns, social
media, press releases and marketing emails, have
resulted in successfully promoting b-to-b
product announcements, reporting sales and
results as well as showcasing company volunteer
efforts and weekly business updates.
