What is a brand?
It’s a personality, humanizing
What’s its name?
What does it wear? (ie design)
How does it communicate? (ie positioning)
What are its core values and what does it stand for? (ie brand promise)
Who does it associate with? (ie target market)
Is it well known? (ie brand awareness)
Brand builds perceitopions
It’s a feeling
It’s what we think
When you have a power brand, 3 things happen.
For entrepreneurs, 3 things open up for you.
First off.
Networks
Doors open when you have a susinc brand that aligns to who you are and what your apssions are
People get to know you
You are the go to person in these circles for specific things
Secondly
Compensation – business grows, income,
When you become the go-to person in these networks, people like you, they trust you, and naturally, they will refer business to you
Thirdly
Self actualization – you become who you say you are
This is key.
If I were to say today, I am a world-renewed speaker.
Do I wait for that or do I just start saying it?
What comes first.
The beuty of branding yourself, as soon as you write it, it becomes real
When I think back about my podcast.
I started it
For me, with the podcast, I’ve had all three happen.
I’ve lined up with business leadership, my network has grown
And now, I am becoming a better leader as
BRANDING
Brings me to the power of branding.
There are benefits for building your brand on purpose.
There are tangible rewards for intentially branding yourself.

This is where, as an entrepreneur, you want to be.
For many reasons. When people are talking about your brand, it’s either 1 of 2 things.
One, I love it,or two I hate it.
Each case, they have a perception and feeling. Both are important.
What do people say about you when you are not in the room?
There is a fun exercise here that I learned before
Ask people to tell you what you do.
In a nutshell,
Your brand is a promise.
Promise to stakeholders,
Promise to employees
Promise to customers
It’s not only what you do, it’s how you do it.

Ethically sourced
No child labor
Natrual
Farmers
Local
And they tell story
And customer service
So back to you. Whether you work for someone or an entrepreneur. Tellng the stories about who you are, what you are passionate about, people start to get to know you better.
And when people know you, they keep you in mind.
And when the time comes for a promotion, for a new opportunity. Knowing what your passions are and what you like to do.
You will be first ot mind.
