‘Accapella 4 December 2011’
I decided not to go with this plan as it didn’t seem suitable for a double page spread. The pictures on the left would have been positioned as a
photo strip/film strip and I would have taken 3 generally close-up photos for this as three mid-length or long-shots wouldn’t have looked
good.
4. Photo shoot plan.
Agency Name A Cappella
Model Anna Hallas Smith
Camera height/angle/distance Eye level to musician or mid-length shot.
Location Outside. In a park? When its dark and as black as possible because I want
the whole background to be black.
Lighting Use a touch from behind the camera for lighting because the shoot will
take place in the evening. I’ll make sure that the light only focuses on the
musician to keep the background black. The flash will also be able to
produce light for the shoot.
Mise-en-scene Costume – big Parka coat with furry hood. Lots of jewellery e.g.: big
chain necklace and lots of rings ( at least 3 per hand.) and big hoop
earrings. grey/black top with big cross on it. Makeup – false eyelashes?
Attempted connotation Have a slight close up to her so their will be no one in the back ground.
Her facial expression will be quite demeaning/angry. Lots of ‘bling’
Planned dennotation Her facial expression will show of her persona and ‘tough’ attitude. Lots
of jewellery to show how she may be quite ‘rich’ due to her fame.
contingency If a park is not available then I may have to use my garden. I will have to
use a different model (Charlie Blair) if Anna Hallas Smith is not available
but I have all the costume in mind.
Thinking points. Make sure not too close up to the model so that I leave space on the right
hand side for my article.
