1. JEE Main confirmation details
Students, who have appeared for the JEE Main 2014, must confirm and
update details of their Std XII or equivalent qualifying exam online by May
31, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced
through a notice. The online confirmation can be done by visiting the JEE
Main Official website.
The confirmation is necessary for the students to secure their JEE Main
ranking, which will form the basis for their merit-based admission to
engineering colleges other than the Indian Institutes of Technology
(IITs).
Admissions to undergraduate engineering courses at the National
Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information
Technology (IIITs), other centrally-funded technical institutions and
aided and unaided institutions in the participating states will be based on
the performance in Std XII or equivalent qualifying examination and in
the JEE (Main).
The JEE Main was conducted through offline and online modes between
April 6 and 19 and the results of were announced on May 3. The rankings
