2. Canon EOS 550D
 The Canon is high quality picture that has allowed me shoot
my media products in a high quality. The reason for this is that
the Canon is a HD camera, with this inbuilt filming settings it
has meant that I am able to get great colour, sound and
imaging within each of my shots.
 When using the camera I had to ensure that the recording
volume was at the highest to be able to capture sound at the
highest clarity, which was a very important factor during the
editing. This being as I needed to clearly here what the
performer was singing in order to match up the lip sync
perfectly. Thus allowing my end video to be of the highest
quality but also creating a convincing ‘star image’.

3. Exploring
 After sorting out the frame rate, white balance and video capture
size, I was able to explore and play around with other features
the technology had to offer.
 I decided that I wanted to slow down the shutter speed of the
camera, which would cause the footage to be in slow motion. I
was able to do this on the camera and so shot images of a drum
covered in flour being beaten. The reason that I shot this in slow
motion as the slow shutter speed allowed the camera to pick up
the movement of the flour in a more detailed way. Having this
effect in my video means that I have been able to use different
types of moving images within the product and make it more
entertaining for my viewer.
 By creating a video with repeatability factor I have adhered to
the theory that a ‘star image’ must be left incomplete for the
audience, causing them to want to continue to consume the
products.

4. Disposable Camera
Within the construction of my digipak I took images of my model on disposable
cameras the reason for this is that I love the effect that you get with the production
of the images but also the use of disposable camera’s is a growing trend within the
social group of ‘indies’. As they are my target audience by including in this old
technology I am giving them something which they are able to recognise and
identify with.

5. How I used it:

Once I had captured my desired
images I then used them mainly
to create a stop motion sequence
within my music video. I also used
them within the digipak as by
including them in both of my
products I am able to ensure that I
am maintaining the link between
them.
