This document discusses the limitations of fossil fuels. It notes that while fossil fuels are important energy sources, their overconsumption can lead to serious environmental and health issues. Some key limits mentioned are air pollution and global warming from carbon dioxide emissions, acid rain from sulfur dioxide, and health impacts of pollution. Oil spills from transportation also threaten aquatic life. The conclusion recommends using fossil fuels in moderation and turning to more eco-friendly alternatives to protect the environment.

3. INTRODUCTION
Fossil fuels are used for many things such as fuels for cars, bikes, planes
etc…
They are also used to make medicines, cosmetics, plastics, synthetic
fabrics, and lubricants.
A fact that you might not known is many tooth paste company use oil, to
prevent the paste from sticking to our teeth.
Your shoes also a product that are made from oil.
4. FOSSIL FUELS
Fossilfuels are fuels that come from very old life forms that decomposed
over a long period of time. There are three most important fossil fuels.
They are coal, petroleum, and natural gas.
These fuels are called fossil fuels because they are dug up from
underground.
5. ORIGIN
Petroleum and natural gas are formed by
the anaerobic decomposition of remains of
organisms that settled to the sea (or lake)
bottom in large quantities under anoxic
conditions (absence of O2), millions of years ago.
Over geological time, this organic matter, mixed
with mud, got buried under heavy layers of
sediment.

USA : 1,121,714 tons
INDIA : 637,522 tons
GERMANY : 269,892 tons
RUSSIA : 269,684 tons
7. LIMITS OF FOSSIL FUEL
Fossil fuels are the major energy source that are being used in
the world today. But there over-consumption can lead to
serious environmental issues such as air pollution. when
burnt that can have severe consequences on their habitats.
They are non-renewable sources of energy as they are derived
from very old fossils and won’t be available once they are fully
used.
8. SOME OF THE MAJOR LIMITS OF FOSSIL
FUEL ARE :
Environmental Hazards:
Environmental pollution is
one of the major disadvantage of fossil fuels. It
is a known fact that carbon dioxide, gas
released when fossil fuels are burnt, due to
this, global warming is caused. If such
conditions continue, our earth might face
many problems.
9. Acid Rain:
Sulphur dioxide is one of the pollutant that is released when fossil
fuels are burnt and is a main cause of acid rain.
Effect on Human Health:
Pollution from vehicles and coal powered power plants can cause
serious environmental hazards. Air pollution can result in human disease like
asthma, lung cancer etc.
10. Impact on Aquatic Life by Oil Spill:
Fossil fuels should be travelled to many place because of its
uncountable needs. Transportation of crude oil via sea can cause oil
spill which can pose hazard to the aquatic life by lessening the oxygen
content of water.
11. Coal Mining:
Extraction of coal from areas that have huge reserves is not only a difficult
and dangerous task but also poses a serious health hazard to the lives of
several workers who work there. The coal mining destroys wide areas of land
and results in environmental difference.
12. CONCLUSION
Fossil fuels are used for many things, but on the
other hand it is more harmful for us an also the
nature.
It should be used, but only in a less amount if it
goes beyond the limit then we could face many
problems.
So, use less amount of fuels and don’t depend on it
more and use eco –friendly things and save our
nature.
