It’s all about mindset.
A happy home is greatly to be desired.
Choose to do all you can to enjoy a happy home.
Don’t try to make it about someone else:
Your mate, your children, Mother-in-law
3
4. No one can change another person
except our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Even the Lord must have that person’s cooperation.
Galatians 5 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is
love, joy, peace, longsuffering
(patience), gentleness, good-ness, faith (faithful), 23
We must be no
Meekness, temperance: against such there is willing
law.
The Holy Spirit bears His fruit in us, as we submit
our minds and hearts unto Him.
A happy home is filled with love.

5. 1 Corinthians 13 4 Charity (love; agape) suffereth
long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity
vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5 Doth not
behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not
easily provoked, thinketh no evil; 6 Rejoiceth not in
iniquity, but rejoiceth in the Truth; 7 Beareth all
things, believeth all things, hopeth all
things, endureth all things. 8 Charity never faileth:

Romans 5 5 … the love of God is shed abroad in
our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto

It’s in us; don’t fight it.

6. The Love of God, which is in us, is a
positive action word.
Eros is romantic love, and may produce some
positive thoughts, words, and deeds.
But it doesn’t always.
This is the only love that many couples ever have.
Phileo is friendship, and it’s a stronger love than
eros, but doesn’t always stand the test of time.
Phileo produces many good things.
But it’s not always forever love.
6
7. Agape is godly love, and is the highest form of
love with which we can ever interact.
Agape suffers long and is kind.
Patience and kindness are the first two characteristics
of real love, and they are characteristics of
God our Father.
When we learn to love, we will be patient and
kind with a loved one.
Love is not a feeling; it’s right
thoughts, words, and deeds.
7
8. Agape does not envy, but is
always happy for blessings that
come to the beloved.
8
9. Agape is not boastful or proud about
what it has done for the beloved.
Love doesn’t
act ugly.
Not hateful or mean.
Love seeketh not her own.
Own way or own will.
Own pleasure
Love doesn’t
manipulate.
9
10. Love is not easily provoked.
Love does not
hold grudges.
Agape is not
Feelings are not easily hurt.
10
11. 1 Corinthians 13:6 (TLB) It
(agape) is never glad about
injustice, but rejoices
whenever truth wins out.
Not competitive
And if it were --
Love would never
cheat to win.
Love is always loyal.
Love won’t speak or act against the
beloved, and will defend against others.
11
12. Agape never fails.
Agape is forever love.
Eros can die after
a short time.
Even phileo can fade away.
But not real love;
not godly love.

A house can provide shelter
from the weather.
13
14. But a happy home provides shelter from the storms
and troubles of life.
Mean
boss
What will you do to have that
happy home.
Behave as if it’s all on you.
Don’t play the blame game.
