Introduction
Garment business in India is one among the oldest producing sectors in country. India
is world’s additional bigger ambassador of textile and apparel afterwards China and
world’s third bigger ambassador of cotton afterwards China and USA. In 1990’s
apparel or textile industry in India was unorganized, individuals in India they weren’t
so acquainted that what kind of fashion is traveling on in the market. At that time
there were not any huge showrooms of apparel in India. People used to shop for their
clothing from the tiny outlets. However currently on the daily basis humans
abnormally youngsters are traveling westernize and they are searching for a modern
fashion. The breadth of business that I am aiming to begin is to accessible a “Big
Apparel Showroom” in India. Now a day’s retail industry is growing day by day,
therefore by analyzing I actually have determined to open my own business in retail
area, which is “Big Apparel showroom”. My basic business is to cater the
requirements of clients by selling ladies; Gents and Kids wear in my showroom.
Added western and European companies are advance in India in retail area by giving
authorization so it will be nice opportunity for me to be in this business. Before
starting business I will be able to use altered kind of alignment to accomplish my
primary research like questionnaire, focus group, interviews etc.
I will use both kinds of research such as primary and the secondary research to
understand about the current trends in the apparel market. In my primary research, I’ll
use altered kind of methodology such as observation. By application this method I can
absolutely realize the customers that what the customers really wants and what are
their needs and it will be done by doing observation in Big Bazaar and Vishal Mega
Mart. Because these two big stores are my main competitors and I ought to recognize
that how they are selling their products, what are their planning and how they are
alluring the people? My methodology would be direct interview with the shoppers to
understand about their needs and appeal and this can be the best method to know
about the customer. Because if I do know that what the customers desire and I offer
an equivalent things to the customers at a bargain amount so I can allure more and
more customers and I can build a foothold in the market. And in addition technique, I
will focus to apparel professional, academic professional and adviser for my primary
research. I will use a research apparatus (Questionnaire) as well in my primary

research and these questionnaires I’ll forward it to the administration of altered
companies and apparel professional, academic professional and adviser to get the
response. For my primary research I will get the advice from my ancestors who accept
been in this business from last abounding years.
In my secondary research, I will get the knowledge or data from the web site,
newspapers and magazines of well-established companies of this industry.

Project concept
After analyzing the Indian apparel industry I have accepted to open a new huge
apparel showroom in the heart of Gurgaon (NCR) district of state Haryana with
providing completely differentrange of apparel articles for customers at a cheapest
amount and a much better quality. The concept to open a Big Apparel showroom in
Gurgaon came to my mind because apparel industry is growing day by day. Humans
wish latest appearance at a most cost effective price. Thus it’s an acceptable idea to
accessible a Big apparel showroom because countless of opportunities abide in this
business. And additionally, I am working in a shop, which deals with the ladies and
kids garments and shoes from last two year and has some knowledge from my
grandfather and my uncle. They are the apparel whole seller in Delhi from last 18
year. So now I think that I have good knowledge of apparel and can fulfill my dream
in India. If my owner can earn that much profit in a year especially on Christmas then
why not I in India where there are three main festivals and people do a lot of
shopping. Also I compared the population of Dublin and nearby area and Delhi then I
found a huge difference.

Opportunities
The basic opportunity to accessible a Big apparel showroom and sell my own
products in my showroom is to accomplish my brandpopular in the market and
afterwards turning into famous I will start to sell my products to small shops in

several places close to New Delhi to accomplish added profits and to expend my
business but this is an approaching prospectus. People in India they mainly focus on
the products which is reasonable and acceptable in superior and there are actual less
big apparel showrooms in India which are providing acceptable superior of product at
a cheapest amount such as Big Bazaar, Vishal Mega Mart, Sahara Mall
etc.(clickindia). There are numerous apparel showrooms in India which are providing
acceptable superior of product at a high amount such as Spyker, Pepe, Killer, Lacoste,
Armani, Diesel, Allen Solly, Levis, Monte Carlo, Mufti, Park Avenue, BlackBerrys,
etc.(FashionUnited, 2012)
And designer clothes as well by famous designer such as Ritu Beri, Donatella
Versace, Vallentino, Ralph Lauren, Rohit Bal, etc.These companies attractsolely top
middle class and top class families. But my focus is to target each and every group
from lower to higher. The conceptof opening apparel showroom is acceptable for the
customer point of view as well because they accept an ample variety of product at a
bargain amount with latest fashion at a cheapest price.

Macro Environment
Political Factors: What could be the amount of the state or central government action
into my business? Do I charge any allotment to authorize the business? What am I
able to do, what can’t I do relating to the government? Is my business principally
regulated or deregulated? How airy is the current state and axial government that
would have an effect on my business?

Economic Factors: What are the capital trends in economic growth? Would my
audience be able to purchase my services? What about the taxes? What all amount
factors should I take into account in adjustment to authorize my business in north
India?

Social Factors: What are the main trends in fashion industry that the peopleare
following? Are they interested for an added subtle technology platform? How
appealingis my business to the retail professionals?

Legal Factors: What are the rules and regulations that are constituted by the
state/central government to my business? What’s the competition law in my business?
I would like to analyze all the prevailing legal factors and accurately what laws that
my company has to attending onto.

Technological factors ought to be advised in analytical any specific situation that
would be adverse for my business prospect. I should ask for cyber-related issues for
business startup for my company website. It is beneath acceptable that any ecology
factors would be a problem since my company is found at shopping hub DLF MEGA
MALL that has the most effective of nature's infrastructure complemented by the best
fashionable man- made accessories.

I would say the foremostimportantissue for any business is to concentrate on industry
experience, knowledge, and abilities of the advisers of my approaching company.
This will admit abiding competitive advantage inside the industry.

As I accept affairs to operate my company at DLF MEGA MALL, I have to analyze

investment should I make. All reports regarding initializing company basement
should be determined.

Target market
My basic focus is to target the tiny and average apparel shops that sell the apparel
articles of various brands in New Delhi. There are bags of the small apparel shops in
New Delhi. I will try to argue them by applying altered adjustment such as to sell my
products to them at actual bargain price, providing all kinds of help. Therefore by
doing this factor within the first year, I can accompany them into a trust. Once I
accomplish a contract with them then I can accomplish a big profit. My initial target
is to capture the bazaar in New Delhi with in a pair of years and afterwards again I
will start to expend my business in the arctic India such as in the altered cities of
Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh.

The total population of National Capital Territory (NCT) Delhi as per the census
carried out in 2011 is about 1,67,53,235 as compared to the census 2001 that is of
1,37,82,976. Out of them 54 % are male and 46 % are female (indiaonlinepages,

Gurgaon is advised as a highly dense busy commune of Haryana. According to the
demography report 2001 the absolute citizenry of Gurgaon commune is 8, 70,539 out
of which 4, 70,504 are males and 4, 00, 343 females. The rural citizenry of Gurgaon
commune is 4,00,343(45.98%) and the urban citizenry is 4,70,196 (54.02%) the body
of rural citizenry is 495 bodies per sq. km and the body of urban citizenry is 3,438
bodies per sq. km.
My customer target would be the people age from year 1 to 60 years and I accept
aggregate them into altered categories. And these are:
(0 – 10 years) - baby children.
(10 – 25 years) – school and college students.
(25 – 40 years) - adolescent married people.
(40 – above) - old people.
Out of these groups my basic focus would be the age of 10 – 25 years school and
college going students because these students commonly attracts with the most recent

fashion at a bargain price. So my target would be accouterment them varieties of
products with a modern fashion.

Competitors
In this business mainly there are two major competitors in the north India and these
are Vishal Mega Mart and Big Bazaar, which are dealing in advanced varieties of the
apparel products at a bargain price. Vishal Mega Mart has started their business in
1986 by aperture one big abundance in Kolkata and now it has 142 showrooms in 24
states/110 cities all over the India, out of them 8 in Delhi (Singh),(Vishal Mega Mart,
2012). Big Bazaar is another big name in retail sector, head quarter in Mumbai
opened in 1997 in Kolkata, which aimed over 350 outlets across all over the India by
2010. It has been successful in many cities and small town because it works on the
same economy scale of Wal-Mart (slideshare).

Conclusion
Today, Garment/Apparel business is on booming and there's not thus high
competition at the instant for huge apparel showrooms as I discussed that there are
solelytwo big competitors. With this the population of Delhi and the surrounding area
i.e. NCR is too high as I mentioned above so that’s why we have large number of
customers from every class. Thusit'll be a goodchancefor me to enter into this
business and all kind of resources that are required into this business are
obtainablelike land, capital, technology, labor, raw material and all these resources are
creating my planfeasible.
