(SEE Below:) Spokane, WA — A panel made up of the current chairs of various technical and professional societies lead discussions informing the
joint society meeting about their individual group's mission and focus. An interactive brainstorming session was also conducted to identify problems in common, and to see if solutions could emerge that would reduce redundancy and duplication of effort, increase networking and educational opportunity and identify areas of cooperation that would tend to strengthen the viability of each of the individual organizations, without compromising their own mission. Also shown below are meeting participants from a cross section of technical and professional societies located in Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho. The meeting served as both a networking event and as a forum for the societies involved to discuss potential
mutual solutions to problems that the organizations face in common. Representatives from Gonzaga University, Eastern Washington University,
the Spokane School District and Greater Spokane Inc. (the local chamber of commerce and economic development group) were in attendance, as
well as many business and industry leaders. (Included members from: SME, PMI, ASM, LMC, ASQ, ASME, APICS, NAPM and others)
