Before we even dream about changing the planet, it's important we try and change ourselves first. Lets get moving from this Earth Day, i.e. 22nd April 2012
4. Climate Challenge
• Himalayas, the 'Third Pole’, contains the largest store of freshwater in
the world after the North & South Poles
• These ‘Water Towers’ are the main source of freshwater for almost a
third of the world’s population
• But global warming threatens to put an end to this. With mountain
glaciers rapidly melting and catastrophic floods increasing in frequency,
climate change is putting ecosystems & communities at risk in the most
heavily populated part of the world
5. Why Crawl-Walk-Run?
• Trying to stop climate change or reversing it, might seem like an impossible
task. A select few can't do anything, but if there is a mass movement at a
micro level involving citizens of the world, we just might have a chance
• It's not planet Earth that needs to be saved, it's species homo-sapiens on it
that do
• Start with MOVING yourself & getting your loved ones to do the same
• Remember, "No matter how slow you go, you are still lapping everybody on the
couch"
6. Why CO2 Route?
• The earliest cave paintings date
b a c k 3 2 , 0 0 0 y e a rs . O n e
interpretation of them suggests that
the cave people wanted to visualize
their challenges before leaving the
cave to confront them
• Modern times biggest challenge is to
reduce emission of CO2 gases
7. History
• CO2 E-Race (Erase CO2 – A Race for Climate Awareness)
was initiated in 2008 by Danish Cultural Institute as an
Art and Climate Awareness Project in preparation for UN’s
Global Climate Change Conference COP15
• To promote environmentally sustainable climate solutions it
was decided to use as inspiration some of the earliest known
human art
8. Organized by founders of

pass, Khardung La (17,700 ft) with an oxygen content of just 33% of that at sea
level with 60 hr cut-off
• Pushes mind & body to absolute limit & redefines what is humanly possible
• Back 2 Fitness: Chain of sports & exercise rehabilitation centres that aims at
• Helping people from all walks of life get back to the physical activity they enjoy doing
most
• By helping them use their bodies optimally
