1. Shareefa Makhlooq Mohammad Hubail Alaá Ahmed Ahmad Bucheeri Talib Jaáffar The opinions of students in using technology in Science and technology lessons in Turkey
2. An Introduction The use of technology in classrooms is a very important method of teaching, this is a theory that has developed all around the world. However, teachers are struggling with this theory, because it presents a new way of teaching which traditional teachers are not used to. One of the countries fighting to solve this problem and implement the use of technology is Turkey, and it is the country the researchers focused on. Researchers investigated perspectives regarding the use of technology in Science and Technology classrooms in schools at the city of Kilis, Turkey. The purpose of this research is to improve teaching in Turkey and investigate the opinions and importance of the use of technology in schools.
3. More reasons for the research( If opinions are positive) To investigate the views of fourth and fifth grade students about using the classroom technology in science and technology lessons. Support learning Expanding the research facilities Enhancement of attention to these lessons Effects of the computer which is one of the important instruments Expanding success

7. Before doing the research students were informed about the CT and the technological materials that were going to be used. Moreover, the questions were coordinated with the opinions that were take from the students. The research was conducted on two private schools and two state schools. One with high level teaching facilities and the other one with low teaching facilities. A questionnaire with two parts was used. The first part had an individual information form and the second part had the actual survey questions.
8. A Detailed Analysis The first question: What are the ratio of students’ opinions about support on learning of using CT in S&T lessons according to the school type? ** Hypotheses in this question include: 1- Using of CT increases the intelligibility of the subjects in Science and Teaching lessons. 2- Learning the lesson becomes difficult when CT is used in Science and Technology lessons. 3- I understand the subject slowly when CT is used in Science and Technology lessons
9. 1- For the first hypothesis none of the students in private and HLTR schools chose the answer “ I disagree” , however, 9.43% of students in LLTR schools answered “ I disagree”. 2- For the second Hypothesis, 75% of students attending private schools and 71.79 students attending HLTR schools, along with 41.50% of students attending LLTR schools chose the answer “I disagree” . 3- For the third hypothesis, 92.5% of private students, and 74.35% of HLTR school students, along with 45.28% LLTR school students chose the answer “I disagree” Outcomes: As we can see there are differences between the amount of students who chose the answers between Private, HLTR schools and LLTR schools. In private schools using CT gets a positive attitude.
10. The second question: What is the ratio of the students opinions about expanding the research facilities by using the CT in S&T lessons according to the school type? Hypotheses in this questions include:- 1- We can search more subjects by using to CT in S&T lesson. 2- CT is helpful for us when it comes to searching in S&T lesson.
11. (A) For hypothesis number one, no private school students answered " I disagree". However, (5.12%) of students who attend HLTR schools, and (10.37%) from LLTR students answered "I disagree". (B) For the second hypothesis, no private school students disagreed, while 12.26% LLTR school students and 2.56 % HLTR school students disagreed. Outcomes: it was noticed that using the CT in S&T lessons was helpful to students during research related to those lessons.
12. Question 3: What is the ratio of students’ opinions about effects of enhancement of the attention to the lesson by using the CT in S&T lesson according to the lesson type? Sub-questions:- 1- I listen to the lesson carefully when CT is used in S&T lessons. 2- I participate more when CT is used in S&T lessons. 3- Lessons become less noisy when CT is used in S&T lessons.
13. A) First hypothesis: while none of the students attending private schools choose the item "I disagree", 5.12% of the students who attend HLTR School and 9.43% of the student who attend LLTR schools choose the item "I disagree". B) For the second hypothesis: none of the students attending private schools chose “ I disagree” . But, (2.56%) of students who attend HLTR schools chose "I disagree" and 7.54% of students in LLTR schools chose "I disagree". Third hypothesis: 10% of the students who attend private schools chose "I do not agree," but 30.76% of the students who attend the HLTR schools and 41.50% of the students who attend LLTR schools chose "I do not agree". Outcomes: Lessons became less noisy when CT was used in S&T lessons. According to the ratios, CT increases the interest towards the lesson most in private schools however it is less effective about this subject in LLTR schools.
14. Question 4:What is the ratio of students’ opinions about the effects of the computer, which is one of the important instruments, according to the school type in using CT in S&T lessons? Sub-questions:- 1- I understand the lesson better when computer is used in S&T lessons. 2- I can learn the subject in a short time when computers are used in S&T lessons. 3- I can learn more easily when the subject which I have difficulty in is using computers.
15. First hypothesis, none of the students attending private schools chose the item "I disagree". 17.94% of the students who attend HLTR Schools chose "I disagree". B) The second hypothesis, none of the students attending private schools chose the item "I disagree". 15.38% of the students who attend HLTR Schools chose "I disagree". C) Third hypothesis, none of the students attending private schools chose the item "I disagree". 17.94% of the students who attend HLTR Schools chose "I disagree". Outcomes: Using computers in private schools increases the intelligibility of the lessons. While using computers in limited times in state schools can’t be a real positive effect on intelligibility of the lessons. Therefore, students are assigned to utilize the positive effects of the computers on education much more than the LLTR school students.
16. Question 5: What is the ratio of students' opinions about expanding the success of using the CT in S&T lesson according to the school type? According to the outcomes from the questionnaire, the positive effects of expanding the success of using CT in S&T lessons have been seen much more in the private schools.
17. Our Conclusion Researchers concluded from this research that in private schools students’ perception are shaped through their cultural background. Moreover, students in private schools have positive perceptions about CT because they use them more than other schools. Also, it seems that using CT in S&T lessons enhances success and meaningful learning, as well as making learning easier and introducing students to research tools. Finally, using CT encourages good, stimulated and fun learning in the classroom, so we advise teachers who can use them to do so.
18. Suggestions and questions In our point of view, the idea of this research was good, but the way some of the comparisons were done and the way the report was written were incorrect. There were a lot of grammatical mistakes and a lot of issues we didn’t understand. What do you think was missing from this research? Do you think they could have used other methods? Do you think the results and outcomes are true?
