2008 economic Stimulus Act
the economic Stimulus Act & Impact on nortel Purchases
The US government and Nortel make this a great year to invest in technology. The Act allows for first-year bonus deprecia-
tion of 50% of your gross equipment purchases that are placed into service prior to December 31, 2008. The Act also allows
taxpayers to deduct from their 2008 taxable income up to $250,000 worth of equipment purchases placed into service before
December 31, 2008 (applies to companies who placed less than $1,050,000 of equipment into service in 2008).
In addition, Nortel is offering $1 Buy-out Leases which enable you to pay for your
equipment over time and still take advantage of this year’s Economic Stimulus Act.
If you have budget constraints that prevent you from taking advantage of these
benefits this year, Nortel’s $1 Buy-out Lease will enable you to pay for your
equipment over a period of 24, 36, 48 or 60 months and still take advantage of
this year’s Economic Stimulus Act. Plus for a limited time, Nortel is offering
“no payments for 90 days” terms on $1 Buy-out Leases.
