เปิ ดช่องท้ องแผลเล็กๆ ประมาณ 3-5 cm ที่ infraumbilicus ในแนว midline เข้ า peritoneal sac แล้ วดูดน ้าออกมา
Positive : - blood > 10 ml
- ถ้ าไม่ได้ เลือดให้ ใส่ LRS หรื อ 0.9%NaCl เข้ าไป 1 lit (เด็ก 10 ml/kg) แล้ วดูดน ้ากลับมาประมาณ 30% ไป
ตรวจ microscopic จะ positive กรณี
o Bile
o WBC >/= 500 /mm3
o Food particle
o Gram positive bacilli
o RBC >/= 100,000 /mm3
o Amylase >175IU/ml
(blunt ) [>/=10,000 in
penetrating]
Criteria ที่ถือว่าเป็ น positive DPL ดังที่กล่าวมานี ้ในส่วนของ RBC count ในผู้ป่วยpenetrating injury
บางรายงานได้ ลดจานวนลงเป็ นในระหว่าง 10,000 – 100,000 cells/mm3 ซึงถ้ าเป็ น penetrating wound at flank
