S Sony is mainly known within the computer entertainment
  industry for its game console, the PlayStation, which
  holds a large portion of the market share.

S Various PlayStation consoles have been released, with
  the 1, 2, 3 and 4, as well as the Portable, Vita and Go.

S Sony release various products in the technology
  industry, such as Sony VAIO
  computers, televisions, cameras, memory disks and
  batteries, portable and home audio systems.

S Sony VAIO computers are an example of synergy, with
  Sony and VAIO collaborating to produce the line of
  computers.

          ENTERTAINMENT

S SME flagship labels include Columbia Records, RCA
  Records and Epic Records, as well as many more. This
  is an example of horizontal integration.

S Artists affiliated with any of these three labels include 50
  Cent, AC/DC, Aerosmith, One Direction, Beyoncè and
  many more.

S   Film franchises produced by Sony Pictures include The Karate Kid, Spiderman, Stuart Little, Ghostbusters
    and Men In Black.

S   Sony Pictures use vertical integration, as they own all stages of production and distribution, e.g.
    Spiderman. Sony own everything from the studios in which the films are made, to the companies which
    distribute to the film, and will also own the DVD. Sony also own Blu-Ray, so when the film goes to it Sony
    will therefore own it.

S   They also own Columbia Pictures, TriStar pictures and many more within the film industry, another
    example of horizontal integration.

S   In the television industry they own many companies including Sony Pictures Television Group (formerly
    Columbia TriStar Television Group) and have produced such television shows as Kings of Queens and
    Days of Our Lives.

S   Synergy is also present within Sony pictures through the Spiderman film franchise, with a lot of
    merchandise sold such as costumes and accessories. In addition, Will Smith released a song for the Men
    In Black franchise.
SONY MOBILE


S Sony owned a stake in Sony Ericsson along with Sony
  Ericsson, and produced various mobile phone models
  until Sony bought out their stake in the company, and
  became Sony Mobile Communications. They now
  produce Sony Xperia phones.
S The Sony Ericsson phone is an example of convergence,
  with Sony and Ericsson converging to release the phone.
S They also produce tablets.
CASINO ROYALE


S There is synergy and horizontal and vertical integration in Casino
   Royale, one of the many James Bond films:

S Synergy: the theme tune was used on Guitar Hero, which was
   released onto Sony consoles.

S Horizontal Integration: Casino Royale was distributed by MGM
   and Columbia Pictures which are both owned by Sony.

S Vertical Integration: Casino Royale was released on Blu-Ray,
   which is a Sony product. Sony owning MGM and Columbia
   Pictures is an example of vertical, as well as horizontal,
   integration, as they own the distributors of the film as well as the
   studios in which it was made.
