Serving
Xavier Lechien (Belgium), President
is the Director of the Local Development Agency of the Municipality of Durbuy since 2000. He worked first as a
researcher in Public Health at the University. He is also Certified Coach et trainer for human resources.
Marianne Diels (Belgium) is Director of the 'Maison du Tourisme du Pays de Marche & Nassogne since the
opening of the office in March 2002.
Antje Enke (Germany) is a journalist, PR & tourism-mangagment professional. She
owns the office for tourismmarketing and an agency for incoming-tourism of the Vorpommersche Flusslandschaft region.
Aivar Ruukel (Estonia) has been growing up in Soomaa national park, Estonia. He runs a small local travel
company www.soomaa.com. He is also an active member of Estonian Ecotourism Association and PhD student at
Estonian University of Life Sciences.
Artis Gustovskis (Latvia)
is the Manager of Kuldiga Tourism Development Centre. He is also the the
Chairman of the Kurzeme Tourism Association (Regional tourism organization).
Michael O Neill (Ireland) is the EDEN representative for Clonakilty. He is head of marketing and several other
roles in his family run hotel. He is also a member of the Clonakilty Chamber of Tourism and chairman of the Michael
Collins Festival committee.

Destinet
DestiNet is an independent portal which brings together the global community of
people and organisations working for making tourism more sustainable. In the
framework of this cooperation, the EDEN Association is
- founder of the Destination Innovators Group
- is part of the VISTAS project
ETAG
The EDEN Association is part of ETAG and organization representing the key
tourism industry sectors, representatives of national tourism agencies and
intergovernmental.
ETC
Talks under development to make EDEN part of the European Travel
Commission strategy.
University of
Bergamo
Agreement to provide Erasmus internships to interested destinations.
