 A whistleblower is an employee, former employee, or
member of an organization, especially a business or
government agency, who reports misconduct to people
or entities that have the power and presumed
    willingness to take corrective action.

 Generally the misconduct is a violation of law, rule,
regulation and/or a direct threat to public interest, such
as fraud, health/safety violations, and corruption.
 Disclosure of illegal, immoral, or illegitimate

organization or within an independent structure
  associated with it'

• 'bringing an activity to a sharp conclusion as if by the

for doing so. The policy may form part of a wider code of
    conduct.

    aware.

    the specified actions.

treating complaints received, and procedures for the
confidential and anonymous submission by employees of
complaints regarding possible violations of the code of
    conduct and ethics,”
